‘A clear, documented answer to the question every serious client eventually asks: how was this assessment conducted?’
Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner
A structured methodology for physical security assessment
— and the professional identity that comes with it.
An IPSRM™ licence is more than access to a document suite. It is the right to conduct physical security assessments using a structured, proprietary methodology — and to describe those assessments as IPSRM™ based in client proposals, engagement letters, and delivered outputs. It gives a practitioner a clear, documented answer to the question every serious client eventually asks: how was this assessment conducted?
The methodology provides the framework. The licence provides the standing to use it commercially. Together, they give a practitioner’s practice a methodological foundation to an ecosystem that can be articulated to clients, demonstrated in outputs, and built on over time as IPSRM™ establishes itself as the standard for structured physical security assessment.
Two licences. One methodology.
IPSRM™ is available under two individual practitioner licences. Both grant the right to deploy the full IPSRM™ methodology and to carry the Licensed Practitioner status. The difference is the depth of commercial and professional infrastructure each provides.
IPSRM™ Practitioner Licence
£450
The foundation licence. Gives you the complete IPSRM™ methodological framework and the right to deploy it commercially. Everything you need to conduct a structured, evidenced, governance-ready physical security assessment from first site visit to Executive Report.
With the Practitioner Licence you can:
• Conduct physical security assessments using the IPSRM™ Six-Domain Architecture
• Calibrate findings using the Risk Engine — RI × RL = RRS, scored 1–25 across three tiers
• Produce Executive Reports structured for board and governance audiences
• Describe your assessments as IPSRM™-based in proposals and client-facing materials
Carry the ‘Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner’ status on LinkedIn and in professional materials
IPSRM™ Professional Licence
£895
Everything in the Practitioner Licence, plus the complete commercial and legal infrastructure for client-facing methodology deployment. For independent consultants and in-house security professionals who need the full practice toolkit — not just the assessment framework.
In addition to the Practitioner Licence, the Professional Licence gives you:
• Model engagement terms and a clause bank for proposals and engagement letters
• A structured scoping framework for defining and agreeing assessment scope with clients
• Proposal positioning language — pre-drafted statements articulating the IPSRM™ methodology to prospective clients
• Risk disclosure guidance for managing scope and limitation statements professionally
• A six-stage findings presentation framework for board and executive audiences
• Guidance on multi-site and complex environment deployments
Carry the ‘Licensed IPSRM™ Professional’ status on LinkedIn and in professional materials
IPSRM™ is currently undergoing a controlled editorial and publication refinement process ahead of broader release. During this period, direct self-service purchasing has been temporarily paused while the methodology suite, supporting documentation and practitioner ecosystem are aligned to final publication standard.
Enquiries and expressions of interest remain welcome.
The IPSRM™ Founder Cohort
To build a community of practitioners who have deployed the methodology in live engagements and can speak to its value from direct experience, a small cohort of Founder licences will be available at a preferential rate.
Ten places across both tiers combined. One cohort. When it closes, it closes.
IPSRM™ Founder Practitioner Licence — £290
Everything in the standard Practitioner Licence — the complete IPSRM™ methodology, the Risk Engine Workbook, the licence and professional conduct framework, and your IPSRM™ Licence Certificate — plus Founder Practitioner status as part of the first cohort to deploy IPSRM™ in professional practice. Your certificate distinguishes your licence as a founding deployment, not a standard purchase.
Standard Practitioner Licence price: £450.
In return, Founder Practitioners commit to:
Deploying IPSRM™ in at least one live client engagement within six months of purchase
Providing structured written feedback on the methodology after that deployment
Providing a brief testimonial for use on this website and in marketing materials, subject to your approval of the final wording
Founder Practitioners may also choose to be named on ipsrm.org as part of the founding cohort.
IPSRM™ Founder Professional Licence — £630
Everything in the standard Professional Licence — the complete IPSRM™ methodology suite, the full commercial and legal practice infrastructure, the supplementary client-facing instruments, the Ardmore Logistics Ltd Worked Example, and your IPSRM™ Licence Certificate — plus Founder Professional status as part of the first cohort to deploy the complete IPSRM™ suite in professional practice.
Standard Professional Licence price: £895.
In return, Founder Professionals commit to:
Deploying IPSRM™ in at least one live client engagement within six months of purchase
Providing structured written feedback on the methodology after that deployment
Providing a brief testimonial for use on this website and in marketing materials, subject to your approval of the final wording
Founder Professionals may also choose to be named on ipsrm.org as part of the founding cohort.
To apply
This is not a discount code. It is a professional relationship with practitioners who want to be part of establishing a structured assessment methodology for the discipline. Places are limited to ten across both tiers and are allocated at Stephen Beels' discretion.
Contact stephen@ipsrm.org or use the Contact page with a brief note about your practice and how you intend to use the methodology. If a place is available and the fit is right, you will receive a Gumroad purchase link for the relevant Founder tier.
The Founder cohort rate is a one-time offer. It will not be repeated after the cohort closes. Standard licence pricing applies to all subsequent purchases.
What’s included in your licence?
The Worked Example Assessment Workbook, Risk Engine Workbook and the Executive Report are also included with the Professional Licence and as a standalone purchase.
Your Licensed Practitioner Certificate
Every IPSRM™ licence includes a personalised IPSRM™ Licence Certificate issued by Stephen Beels, Vertex Method Ltd. It records your name, your licence tier, and the licence term (perpetual per version). It is issued digitally on purchase and updated on renewal.
The certificate is yours to use — in your professional portfolio, with clients, and as a reference point for your IPSRM™ licence standing.
Using the Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner status
The IPSRM™ licence gives you the right to describe yourself as a Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner in your professional materials. That status can be used on LinkedIn, in proposals, in engagement letters, and in the attribution statement on client-facing outputs.
On LinkedIn, the status works well as a credential entry under Licences and Certifications, or as a line in your headline or About section. As the methodology establishes itself, the status will carry increasing recognition with clients and procurement audiences familiar with IPSRM™.
In proposals and engagement letters, referencing your IPSRM™ licence gives prospective clients a specific, verifiable statement about your methodology — one they can investigate, and one that distinguishes your practice from competitors who cannot articulate how they assess.
The IPSRM™ Practitioner Licence is a commercial intellectual property licence granted by Stephen Beels, Vertex Method Ltd. It is not a professional qualification, an accreditation, or a certification awarded by an external body. The permitted titles are ‘Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner’ (Practitioner Licence) and ‘Licensed IPSRM™ Professional’ (Professional Licence). The use of terms such as ‘Certified’, ‘Accredited’, or ‘Qualified’ in connection with the IPSRM™ licence is not permitted. Full terms are set out in the Licence and Use Framework included with the licensed suite.
About the IPSRM™ licence
The IPSRM™ Practitioner Licence and Professional Licence are commercial intellectual property licences. They grant the holder the right to use the IPSRM™ Integrated Physical Security Review Methodology in their professional practice, to carry the Licensed IPSRM™ Practitioner status, and to attribute client-facing outputs to the methodology.
They are proprietary methodology licences — analogous in principle to a software licence — and are distinct from professional body membership, regulated qualifications, and third-party accreditations. Liability for assessment outcomes rests with the licensed practitioner exercising professional judgement. Full licence terms are contained in the Licence and Use Framework (document P01).
Not ready to commit to a licence? The IPSRM™ Worked Example provides a fully completed assessment for a fictitious client across all six domains — illustrating the methodology in practice before you purchase. Available at £45 at ipsrm.org/pricing.
